Information collected
Cruise collects the name, email address, phone number, selected language, rental or route details, vehicle preference, passenger and luggage needs, customer notes, consent evidence, limited request-security metadata, and a driver-licence file for a rental request.
Purposes and legal bases
Cruise uses this information to respond to a requested service, take steps before a possible rental or transfer agreement, assess driver eligibility, communicate about the request, keep required records, and protect the service against fraud and abuse. Depending on the activity, processing is based on requested pre-contract steps, legal obligations, and legitimate interests in operating and securing the service.
Driver licences
Driver-licence files are stored separately in private storage and are used only to assess a rental request and meet applicable rental requirements. They are not public media, are not attached to email, and are available only to an authenticated Cruise administrator through short-lived secure access.
Service providers and international processing
Cruise uses Vercel for application hosting, Neon for PostgreSQL data storage, Cloudflare R2 for file storage, Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection, and Resend for transactional email. These providers process information only as needed to supply their services. Where processing involves another country, applicable data-protection transfer safeguards are used.
Recipients
Information may be available to authorised Cruise personnel and to the service providers listed above. It may also be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Cruise does not sell request or driver-licence information.
Retention
A deletion date is recorded for an attached driver-licence file, and the file is removed after the configured licence-retention period. Request, consent, notification, and audit records are retained separately only for the period needed for operational, legal, and security purposes.
Security
Cruise uses access controls, private storage, short-lived secure links, upload validation, abuse protection, and audit records to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights

Complaints
You may complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus if you believe your information has been handled unlawfully.
Request-stage processing
No online payment is taken when a request is submitted. Requests are reviewed manually, and there is no automated final booking decision.
